IJMEP2024 is offering three optional guided tours on 23, 25 and 26 July to accompanying participants of the Conference. This presents a chance to explore the attractions of Piemonte and Turin attractions from diverse perspectives: historical, artistic, food and wine.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
For some of the proposed activities to take place, a minimum number of people must be reached, so some of these excursions may not take place if this number is not reached.

JULY 23rd:
FULL DAY EXCURSION TO THE LANGHE AREA (CODE A)
- Departure from Turin, by private bus, in the morning.
- Visit of Alba, one of the region’s most interesting and thriving towns, with medieval towers, Baroque and Renaissance architecture, cobbled streets full of specialist delicatessens and shops.
- Typical lunch in a farmhouse with a view over the hills.
- Visit to a selected wine cellar. The visit will end with a wine tasting guided by the producers. Return to Turin by private bus.
Price per person – for a minimum of 18 participants – : € 95,00 pp

EXCURSION TO VENARIA REALE (CODE B)
- 10h00: Departure from Turin, by private bus.
- Visit the breathtaking Venaria Reale, the royal residence of the Savoy family often compared to Versailles for its majestic gardens and wonderful architecture.
- Free time for lunch
- 2h30 pm Return to Turin by private bus
Price per person – for a minimum of 18 participants / maximum of 25 participants – : € 59,00 pp

REAL MUSEUMS (ROYAL PALACE, ARMORY, CHAPEL OF THE HOLY SHROUD) (CODE C)
Our guided tour will start from the courtly floor that will welcome us with its reception halls, Chinese toilets, seventeenth-century boudoir and sparkling dance halls, will reveal the true court ceremonial. Wonderful is the glance that gives us the Gallery of Beaumont, where they see beautiful weapons and armor collected by Carlo Alberto and by his will made accessible to the general public since the nineteenth century.
